ALVIN JOHN

My clan is Ta’baahi’ – Zuni descendent water edge clan and born for Tsinaaj’inii’ -Black Streaked Wood people.  My maternal grandfather are Tsenij’ikini’- people on the Cliff Dwellers and paternal grandfather are Konyaa’ a’aanii- Towering House people.  My artistic came from my Grandfather and my mother and father. I’m self taught myself and challenged my mind with new ideas and a mixer of traditional concept. Metal work allowed me to depart from realism and focus on modern principles.
